How to Set up a TTB Permits Online Account

To set up a TTB Permits Online account, follow these steps:

1. Access the TTB Permits Online Website

Go to the Permits Online section of the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) website:
https://www.ttbonline.gov/permitsonline/

2. Register for an Account

  • On the Permits Online page, click “Register for an Account” or similar option to begin the account registration process. Follow the link to the account creation page.

3. Complete the Registration Form

  • Email Address: Enter your valid email address. Be sure to use an email address that you have regular access to as TTB communications will be sent to the email address you list.
  • Password: Create a strong password that meets the TTB security requirements.
  • Personal Information: Fill in your name, title, and other requested contact information.
  • Company Information (if applicable): If registering as part of a business, you will need to provide company information such as the legal business name and address.

4. Verify Your Email

  • After completing the registration form, check your email inbox for a verification email from TTB Permits Online.
  • Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account.

5. Login to Your Account

  • Return to the Permits Online login page.
  • Enter your email address and password, then click Login.

6. Complete Profile Setup

  • Once logged in, you may need to provide additional information such as your role in the business, tax identification numbers (TIN), and other details depending on the type of permit you’re applying for.

7. Apply for Permits

  • After setting up your account, you can begin drafting and applying for TTB-issued permits. You can apply for a new permit by clicking on, “”Apply for new permits, registrations or notices” in the “Home” screen. From there, you will be asked a number of questions that will help the Permits Online system generate an application specific to your needs.
